About

The tokonoma is an alcove — a quiet space in a Japanese home set aside for the things that matter.

A scroll. A single flower. Often, a tree. We borrowed the name because it describes what we hope to make: a small, considered place for the tools, writing, and community around bonsai. We are building slowly, one product at a time.
